Univision website reported that Elvira’s shocking scene happened at Paso del Toro, a town in Medellin del Bravo, Veracruz.

The attack came from hit men aboard two pickup trucks, also taking the life of Gustavo Elvira.

Sadly enough, bullets found their way into Narciso’s 20 year-old son in the process.

It should be noted that 52 year-old was kidnapped back in 2015 at Cocuite, Veracruz, a town where he lived after retiring from baseball eleven years ago.

The kidnappers kept Elvira for 23 days, with the former southpaw thrower negotiating his liberty.

It took a special operation from authorities of the Attorney General’s Office to free  the late ballplayer.

Elvira played professional ball in a 22-year span

Chicho Elvira played through the Milwaukee Brewers farm system up to the Major Leagues, debuting September 9, 1990, while playing his last game later the 28th of the same month.

He opposed a total of 25 batters during five innings in his 4-game big league career, in which he allowed 3 earned runs by way of 11 runners (6 hits, 5 free passes).

A change of scenery came two years later, seeing time in the Minor Leagues with Texas and Los Angeles Dodgers.

From 1997 to 2009, Elvira played in the Foreing Leagues, participating in the Mexican Leagues, while testing the Japan and the South Korea Leagues.

He managed to throw a no-hitter with the former Osaka Buffaloes in Japan.

Additionally, he had success pitching in South Korean ball, winning 16 games, securing an ERA title and most importantly, the championship.
